When I read Shilpa Suraj’s book, I try to find myself in her characters.
I feel like being one of her characters because they are the epitome of bold, challenging stereotypical characters through her diverse professional options.
Readers have explored a lot of professions through her characters. In this book, they explore the life of the captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket team and the nation’s best fixer.
It is one of my favorites book of hers! The book will make you blush with the sweet cute flirty chemistry between the two. Their constant banter and scandals make it difficult for Nikhil to clear her image.
Their life is much more than their job role. They have some baggage which includes their family. They are independent but bothered by their families. They have decisions to make and choose between multiple things, setting their priorities between career, family, love, and self.
The book revolves around the paparazzi culture, patriarchal society, emotional baggage, life choices, friendship, love, career, and prioritizing self.
The book has a fresh and unique plotline, which makes readers fall in love with Tara and Nikhil right from the first page. The friend trio and their love for each other are visible throughout the series. The characters develop from regretting their pasts to overcoming their past.
Overall the book is a beautiful read with a great storyline, mind-blowing chemistry, and an engaging narration that is a perfect weekend read.
